Ci sono molti miti sul traffico di Roma... e la maggior parte sono veri!
Ma è ancora abbastanza facile spostarsi... ecco alcune opzioni
THE METRO
The Metro in Rome has two lines:
East/West & North/South
The East/West Line A is just down the street. You can buy a ticket at the metro station which is valid for 90 minutes (basically a full journey anywhere on the two lines).
Line A takes you to the Vatican.
Your stop for getting home is MANZONI
TAXI
Rome has loads of taxis everywhere ... until you need one!
Technology has provided the answer in a multitude of Uberesque Apps for taxis. The most popular at the moment seems to be
"FreeNow" https://www.free-now.com/it/taxi-roma/
But old school waving from the sidewalk still works
SAMARCANDA
Recently these guys have pretty much cornered the Roman market for reliable Taxi services. (That is not a typo)
You can call, or if you prefer not to test your Italian skills just download the App, register, and you are good to go. This seems to be the go-to-taxi service of the moment.

UBER
Uber does exist here and even advertises quick aggressively at the airport. It's just that the drivers all have to have some form of taxi license so the offer often falls behind the demand. Basically our experience has been mainly with off-duty limo drivers rounding up their pay in their FreeTime. Check the quote and the waiting time.
THE BUS
Only the brave. A bit complicated, a bit crowded, a bit sweaty, a bit slow, but they will get you there in end. Tickets should be pre bought in a Tobacconist.
VESPA HIRE
Actually easier than you would imagine and super fun, as well as covering the distances. Your insta account will love it but keep an eye out for all the other maniacs on the street. The nearest is OnMovo in Via Cavour n.80 about a 15 min walk from here.
SCOOTERS
Everywhere you go in Rome you will find people braving the roads and pavements with these by-the-minute scooters. Too many apps to mention. Scan one of the many scooters lying around and head off into the traffic!
FEET
If you have a sturdy pair of these then they are probably your best bet for getting around

VINTAGE FIAT 500
I have no idea how they got insurance for this gig, but it is very very good fun. Click for more info.
Basically you get to drive a vintage Fiat 500 around Rome, with a guide. Your friends will officially hate you after this.
Top Tip - try and do it as early as possible in the day (or in the evening after 8pm) , less traffic, and better light for your photos :-)
UPDATE: There are now quite a few of these operations, so do some Googling for different offers and variations. It isn't the cheapest fun in town € 😎
