Le basi
Ecco alcune informazioni di base per aiutarti a iniziare il tuo soggiorno
La prima cosa è che oltre all'app AirBnB puoi connetterti anche su WhatsApp: funziona solo un po' più velocemente.

Getting In

Once you have arrived at Via Tasso 118 ring the buzzer for Int. 13 “Red Thread Spaces 1” or send us a WhatsApp. There will be someone to meet you and show you around as well as giving you your unique Key Pad code valid for the duration of your stay. You also get a key!
Bureaucracy
Basically anyone staying in a registered Hotel, BnB, Appartment etc needs to do two things:
1. Tell the local council who you are (before you arrive we need a copy of your passport or ID card which we then send to the Rome Council)
2. Pay the Tourist Stay Tax for Rome which is €3.50 (three euros and fifty cents) per person per night.
This is factored into your Reservation Costs as AirBnB collects this on behalf of the Rome Council.
It's actually more of a check that us Hosts aren't breaking any rules.
So don't worry :-) It' a bit of a bureaucratic pain, but we wanted to let you know in advance.

LIFT

We are on the fifth floor. The building predates lifts (or rather they didn’t stick one in 100 years ago) but Italian ingenuity means that with a bit of slicing they managed to squish in a teeny weeny two person lift. All three doors need to be firmly closed and you can gently ease your way to the fifth floor.
CHECKING IN AND CHECKING OUT

Check-in is from 3:00 pm on the day of your arrival. Please check out by 11:00 am so that we can prepare the apartment for our next guests.
If your plans change and you need a late check-out, we may be able to accommodate this if we have a gap in bookings. Let us know via Airbnb or WhatsApp and we’ll do our best to arrange it for you.
KEYS

You get two sets. Blue for the street door, Green for the stairway door, and then the bigger one for the appartment door. Because the apartment door keys are super coded they are also a real pain to replace which also costs 50 euros.
BEDROOM SETUP

Let us know how you need the bedrooms set up.
Two are Double Bed only
Two can be Double Bed or Two Single Beds
And of course ... let us know if you need a kiddy setup and in which room ...
Sogni d'Oro
POWER SOCKETS

I have never really worked this out. There are at least 6 variations of Power sockets and the golden rule seems to be that the socket will always be different from the one you need!
There are a couple of multi-country adapters in the house as well as numerous USB charging sockets .. just to make your choices that bit more complicated.
PARKING

If you are driving there is a 24 hour garage in Via E. Filiberto. Or you can feed the meter on any Blue line spaces in the area. Or have a few free hours in the the White Line spaces. Best to look for parking in Via Tasso or Via Francesca Berni, or up in Piazza San Giovanni in Laterano.
WIFI

Two Networks - 100Mbps

BUREAUCRACY

Basically anyone staying in a registered Hotel, BnB, Appartment etc needs to do two things:
1. Tell the local council who you are. When you check in or before you arrive we need a copy of your passport or ID card the details of which are then uploaded to the Rome Council who register your details as a guest. It sounds a bit heavy handed but Italian (and European law) require it. Here is a link to a thread on the AirBnB community if you need more info. All copies are deleted after your stay, and the Rome Council delete after one year.
2. Pay the Tourist Stay Tax for Rome which is €5.00 (five euros) per person per night as from 1 October 2023.
This is factored into your Reservation Costs as AirBnB collects this on behalf of the Rome Council.
It's actually more of a check that us Hosts aren't breaking any rules.
